Residential Support Services (RSS)...
Residential Support Services provides assistance to AFVW residents needing help with a variety of health related and/or other personal needs in all areas of AFVW. The assessment staff performs a formal health evaluation of all Village residents to ensure that appropriate assistance is available as needed.

Assistance includes:

• Home assistance with daily activities/chores*
• Meal delivery for temporary illness
• Medication ordering assistance*
• 24 hour emergency assistance
• First aid assistance
• On-site laboratory testing
• Transportation and escort service to medical appointments, etc.*
• Private duty assistance in health center*
• On-site Doctors' hours

Outreach Rehabilitation Services
Our mission is to improve the lives of the people we serve through quality, respect, and personal attention in health care.

We provide full rehabilitation services for both inpatients of skilled nursing and outpatients living in AFVW as well as in the community at large. Our aim is to improve quality of life by restoring the highest level of independence possible for our patients.

Our services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pool therapy, fall prevention, balance training, neuro re-education, pain control, and electro modulities.

Assisted Living Unit (ALU)...
The Assisted Living Unit provides outstanding personal care in a lovely apartment with a comfortable, home environment. Residents are encouraged to provide their own furniture, bedding and linens. We encourage a sense of independence to enable residents to lead a healthy, active lifestyle while receiving special assistance with routine physical tasks.

Some of our services are:

• Licensed Nurse Care Manager
• Single or couple's apartments with private bath
• Cable TV hook-up*
• Assistance with dressing, bathing and grooming
• Assistance with medications
• Assistance with household chores as needed
• Dietary Consultant
• Three delicious meals per day with menu choice
• Activity staff providing a variety of activities and special events
• Caring staff on duty 24 hours

Special Care Unit (SCU)...
The Special Care Unit offers individualized care for those with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Our beautiful facility offers a secure home-like setting where residents are encouraged to provide their own furniture, bedding and linens to create a familiar surrounding. The staff is specially trained to provide individual comprehensive care. Careful details from decor to daily activities have been considered to provide our residents and their families with reassurance of a safe and secure environment.
