AIR FORCE VILLAGE WEST

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

Between Southern California’s gentle rolling hills, afternoon sea breezes, and snow capped mountain peaks, lies an oasis of lush green lawns, swaying palm trees, streets lined with pepper trees and red tile roofs -- AFVW.

AFVW, opened in 1990 and is located in the South East corner of Riverside, California, at 1700 feet above sea level and across the highway from March Air Reserve Base. The city center of Riverside is only 10 miles from AFVW.

On 221 acres of former March Air Reserve Base property, our neighbors are: adjoining us to the East is The General Archie Old Golf Course (owned by the Air Force), to the West in what once was the Strategic Air Command Headquarters (SAC) now renovated and occupied by the Riverside County Police and Fire Academies, to the North a large expansion of property to be developed by the County Parks and Recreation, and to the South, property designated for the expansion program of the National Veterans Cemetery.

Seated in the heart of Southern California, AFVW is only 43 miles from the mountain resorts, 55 miles from Palm Springs, 57 miles from Newport Beach and the beautiful ocean beaches, 61 miles from Los Angeles, 255 miles from Las Vegas, 121 miles from Mexico, and 91 miles from San Diego.
